The Poetry of Courtney Kenerson

My eyes are closed in search of vision
the soft silence penetrates my ears.
My thunderous thoughts are obnoxious and threatning
I'm released from the silence of no sound at all.
Your voice is so comforting, it's music to my soul.
I've been traveling through stillness and lost without a cause
until I found your eyes I was still in that crazy silent storm.
Your warm dancing eyes found me lying here alone.
You gently touch my face with careful fingertips
and wipe the salty tears from my stained cheeks
as day paints her parting sky and nights cloak begins to fall
in the now soft half light and pastel shadows.
Beneath misty blue midnights and whisps of threaded clouds
our hands entwine as we walk through lavish gardens
of the deepest greens and warmest blues.
I can now hear the insects murmur, but still it's quiet
for now I share this silence with you.
