Statement of Faith

We are a fellowship of Christians of diverse backgrounds who happen also to be fans of J. R. R. Tolkien and the Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rings movie by Peter Jackson.

We Believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, the revealed will of God, useful for correction, instruction, and as the guide for living.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. [II Tim. 3:16 NIV]

We Believe That Jesus is the only begotton son of God, born of a virgin.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son... [Jn. 3:16 NIV]

We Believe He is fully man and fully God.

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form. [Col. 2:9 NIV]
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. [Jn. 1:1,14 KJV]

We Believe that Jesus paid for our sins by his death on the cross and that this sacrifice is the only way of salvation.

That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. [Rom. 10:9 NIV]

We Believe that there is only one God and that he has revealed himself in a Trinity of Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment Heaven was opened, and he (John the Baptist) saw the Spirit of God decending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from Heaven said, 'This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.' [Matt. 3:16,17]
